When Should I Send my Wedding Invitations
So you have set your date, now you are starting to think about who to invite and when to send your invitations out This is a a quick guide to the basic wedding stationery you will need.
Save the dates
These are important especially for midweek weddings, destination weddings and those taking place around bank holidays. Send these 12 – 18 months before
Your invitations are your formal invitations for your guests. Day and evening invitations are often sent separately to allow evening guests to be ‘bumped up’ to day guests should someone decline. Send these 3-6 months before
On the Day Stationery
This consists of your place cards, table numbers and table plan. As soon as you have all your rsvp’s back start to work out who is sitting where. (you may need a glass of wine for that). On the day stationery can often take a considerable amount of time to put together depending on design so try to order this around 4-8 weeks before
This timeline is when you should send out your invitations and save the dates. Make sure you order them in plenty of time. Some designs can take up to 4 weeks to produce.
